Life Is More Pleasurable Inside A Four By Four
I'm a firm believer that life is more fun in a four by four. I mean, when last have you taken your SUV for a leisurely drive on the beach? And when last was your outrageously expensive low rider with the low suspension capable of taking you off the beaten track to a distant location on rocky terrain? And was there ever a time when mother's soccer van triggered a day's fun while conquering obstacles on an obstacle trail? I do think I've made my point...
While a four by four may add adventure and comfort to any person's chosen lifestyle, there are a number of things that you need to think about before trying to pull out all the stops and pushing your vehicle to the limits. In this post we will take a look at a couple of these considerations and also check out a couple of off-road driving suggestions.
The type of four by four that you will probably invest in, will be determined by the reason behind your purchase. A young individual might be looking for a car that can provide the versatility and adventure that a four by four does, but might not want to invest in a very bulky car that is everything but cost-effective when it comes to fuel consumption. A family man with an outdoorsy partner and equally active children would need to obtain a four by four with plenty of room for all the camping equipment and possibly a tow-bar for those longer breakaways.
Once you've analysed your needs and taken a few vehicles for test drives, you should not immediately make an attempt to be the king of the four by four. Driving a four by four properly takes a lot of practise and patience and it is vital that you first get comfortable with your new vehicle before attempting to pull out all the stops on a very challenging obstacle course.
